De grote Lundia kast in de huiskamer van mijn ouderlijk huis bevatte genoeg materiaal om even zoet mee te zijn. Zo las ik bijvoorbeeld De waanzinnige veertiende eeuw van Barbara Tuchman en de Het prive-leven van Mao (onthuld door zijn lijfarts Li Zhisui).
