After the myriad of World War II movies which aired on tv last night (among others Soldaat van Oranje, De Aanslag, De Fûke, Schindler's List and La vita è bella) a new, quite wet day has begun. Today is Liberation Day, which is our national holiday commemorating Germany's capitulation on 5 May 1945.
