Yesterday evening was spent installing Slackware Linux with the K Desktop Environment (KDE) on my computer. I was already running Windows 2000 and have been wanting to install Linux for ages now. So I did. I have had Redhat in the past, but that never semmed to work very well on my system, or atleast I couldn't get it to work properly. Slack shows more promising signs. Though I'm not on our LAN yet, I could get into XWindows straight away. KDE 2 looks very cool, by the way. Quite slick.
