The discussion on webstandards continues. "Opera was chosen by Symeon to be the embedded browser in the next generation web capable cel phones. Symeon is the organization founded by Nokia, Ericson, Phillips, and four or five other major cel phone manufacturers to develop some form of standardized OS for next generation cel phones. This just made Opera a "big player" as you have to realize that the number of non-standard user agents is going to grow explosively in the next decade. It is getting a growing PC user base (more so in Europe from what I hear from developers I know over there) and it has a Mac version being released. It is standards compliant and is becoming more so." See also » cross-browser.com.
