Plastic | As MTV Reaches 20-Year Anniversary, Non-Preteens In Every Nation Yawn » twenty years. Can you believe it? I don't know how long I've been able to see it. Can't be more than ten. But I'm sick of the way it has absolutely no identity. I used to watch Headbanger's Ball religiously. It had a personality. Vanessa Warwick, Paul King, Ray Cokes. But I have no idea who are on now. All anonymous, interchangeable people. Even the music (which is the whole point of the thing) is boring and predictable. Nowadays it's all R&B and the occassional Limp Bizkit. Who needs that?
