There's nothing on tv and it's raining outside. Don't feel like doing much. After 20:00 hours the phone costs are lower than normally, so this is a great time to get online. I want to browse the Mp3-ojky [music.box.sk] archives for interesting songs to download. By the way, if you know similar sites with reliable downloads and few pop-ups (I hate those things!), could you mail me the URL? Thanks.

Also today is memorial day for World War II in Holland. Two minutes of silence in the entire country. Watched the queen place the reef at the monument in Amsterdam. Strange, this was the first time I was alone for this event. Usually there are other people around at the time, but this time there weren't.

Got a call from Miranda earlier. She asked if I knew the status of the whole Tool and tickets situation. The sales start tomorrow and after a couple of phonecalls between us and the people vacationing in Spain, whe deceided on 8 tickets. I will try to order them online tomorrow at 10:00 o'clock. If that doesn't work she'll go to the postoffice where you can buy them directly. Hope it works, because I really would like to see Tool live again. Last time in Paradiso in Amsterdam was great.

Also, did you know the following about today?

In 1626, Dutch explorer Peter Minuit landed on present-day Manhattan Island.

In 1932, mobster Al Capone, convicted of income-tax evasion, entered the federal penitentiary in Atlanta.

In 1945, German forces in the Netherlands, Denmark and northwest Germany agreed to surrender. (See my second paragraph.)

Thought for Today: "God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, courage to change the things which should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other." - Reinhold Niebuhr, American clergyman and author (1892-1971).
