It’s Samhain today. And the onset of wintertime. Confusing as always. Spend yesterday painting my frontdoor. Finally a day of sun instead of rain. I’m quite pleased with the result.
Hicksdesign has redesigned. I really love the idea with the 2 background images. Never would have thought of that. I wish I had inspiration, I feel it’s time for a redesign.
One thing always leads to another when you visit the Wikipedia. Landed on the The Aquatic Ape Theory after looking up something quite different. Can’t remember what though. But it’s an interesting place to end up nonetheless.

The Slayer/Slipknot Unholy Alliance tour was in the country last week. But I’m afraid €50 was just too much, even for Slayer. Luckily most of the reviews confirm they outplayed Slipknot. Can’t believe someone thought this combo was worthy.
I’m looking forward to visiting a concert though. It’s been too long. Luckily I’ve got 2 (two!) coming up next week. First there’s Therion, Trail Of Tears and Tristania on tuesday in Tilburg (try saying that 5 times in a row) and then there’s Rammstein (with -unknown to me- opening act Exilia) on thursday in Rotterdam. Can’t wait!
Just read the RollingStone.com interview with John Kerry. He makes a good impression on me. I just wonder how one can be both a Rolling Stones fan and a Beatles fan at the same time.
And then there’s Globalvote 2004, where non-americans get to vote. You’d almost forget there are more than 2 parties.

Just installed the latest Thunderbird, as I found out mine was getting on a bit and I wanted to try out the new RSS feature anyway. Luckily all went well, I didn’t even lose my profile. RSS feature is looking good, I just prefer having my subscriptions in one place, like bloglines does. Might give it another try at a later time.
I really like the idea of humanising the display of dates and times on a blog, like Dunstan has done. I may borrow one or two of his ideas.
