Last day of 2003 already. Can’t believe how quick this year has passed. Well, make it a good one and I’ll see you on the flipside.

Went to the stores a while ago. Bought a few books; Stephen King’s The Stand (which I’d wanted for ages), a biography on Cleopatra and one on Alexander the Great. Oh, and a cookbook. čśë I was also hoping to get my hands on The Godfather DVD box, but the queues were a bit overwhelming for me. Hopefully I can get that another time.

Yule was yesterday, which means Christmas will be shortly. I’m working untill wednesday and then I’ll have eleven days of glorious freedom. Hopefully that will give me the time to sort out the last few boxes.

Had a movie night last night. We got in some Chinese food and rented Monster’s Ball, Birthday Girl and Doctor Sleep.
Ordered my own copy of the LotR books last week, which arrived yesterday. I used to alway read my dad’s copy, but I wanted the original English version.
Going to Ikea later on today. Again. Hopefully the last trip necessary. Need a TV bench, a few lamps and another bookcase.

The King

Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King

This Christmas the journey ends.

I want to see it again! It was truly epic. The Battle of the Pelennor Fields, Minas Tirith, the coronation, the eagles, the epilogue in Hobbiton. Everything. Wow.

And I never once thought of the length. Well maybe when I got up to leave the cinema. Can’t wait for the extended version.

Oh, here’s the obligatory IMDb link, buy it or see what others thought of it.
